Stories

Advance began work in Ecuador alongside our partner NGO, Benemérita Sociedad Protectora de la Infancia (BSPI), in 2019. BSPI is broken into three services categories: free medical services including missions from the U.S., housing for victims of child abuse, and a school to serve the community as well as those children living onsite. Our partnership began when the organization reached out to Advance in the spring of 2019, requesting our volunteer surgical teams. Advance began sending our volunteer surgical teams to the Hospital León Becerra in Guayaquil, Ecuador to serve the country's most vulnerable. This unique opportunity to partner directly with a hospital has allowed Advance to collaborate with local physicians far more intimately than before.
