Join us in welcoming Anna Ortiz, who serves part-time as Esperança’s Surgical Program Coordinator, organizing surgical missions to developing countries and processing medical supplies for sea shipments. Anna has spent the last two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama, teaching English to families in the village of Las Margaritas. Prior to that, she spent four years working for the Chicanos Por La Causa. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Arizona State University and is an Arizona native. She has a real passion for international development in the public health sector and plans to make it a full-time career. Email Anna.
