In 2024, Advance Community began partnering with the Materna Foundation to improve the health and nutrition of women and infants in rural Central America.
For mothers living in poverty, challenges like low milk supply, latching difficulties, and limited access to care can make exclusive breastfeeding difficult. By equipping them with knowledge, practical resources, and encouragement, we help ensure infants receive the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

Community Development
Materna Kit Deliveries
Each mother who attends a Materna Kit Community Delivery receives essential items including a manual breast pump, nipple shields, and an infant hygiene kit, along with life-changing education in infant nutrition and maternal health. These kits empower women to build healthy habits and give their babies a strong foundation for life.
Emergency Fund Support
When medical crises arise, our Emergency Fund further supports women and children by providing urgent aid for treatments, medications, and transportation to hospitals. It’s more than financial help: it’s a lifeline for mothers and a promise that every child deserves a chance to thrive.
