We advance stronger, healthier communities in Mexico
In 2024, Advance Community began partnering with the Materna Foundation to improve the health and nutrition of women and infants in rural Mexico. Together, we empower women by providing essential breastfeeding tools and hands-on training to overcome common challenges like low milk supply, latching issues, and lack of support, ensuring every child has a healthy start.
In Mexico’s Durango and Oaxaca regions, Advance Community also partners with local hospitals and clinics to expand access to medical and dental care. Our volunteer teams change lives by performing free, corrective and preventive procedures that restore health, dignity, and opportunity for families who otherwise would go without.
Community Development
Materna Kit Deliveries
Each mother who attends a Materna Kit Community Delivery receives essential items including a manual breast pump, nipple shields, and an infant hygiene kit, along with pivotal education in infant nutrition and maternal health. These kits empower women to build healthy habits and give their babies a strong foundation for life.
Emergency Fund Support
When medical crises arise, our Emergency Fund further supports women and children by providing urgent aid for treatments, medications, and transportation to hospitals. It’s more than financial help: it’s a lifeline for mothers and a promise that every child deserves a chance to thrive.
Surgical/Dental Missions
Each year, our dedicated volunteer teams transform lives across Mexico by delivering essential surgical and dental care to thousands of families with little or no access to treatment. In collaboration with local hospitals, we offer specialized services, including orthopedics, ophthalmology, and dentistry, restoring movement, vision, and dignity.
These are more than procedures; they are life-changing interventions that heal the body and open new futures. From helping a child take their first steps to giving the gift of sight to relieving chronic pain, our teams bring healing and renewed possibility to impoverished communities across Mexico.
